Port Blair, May 07: YuvaSangam has been launched under Ek Bharath Shreshtha Bharath program phase-II by Govt. of India. The program envisages the participation of 1000 youngsters among 23 states (paired with other states).In this regard, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands have been paired with Jharkhand and DBRAIT as the Nodal institute for A&N Islands and NIT Jamshedpur for Jharkhand.
Under this Yuva Sangam program, 45 students (Yuva) and 04 faculty coordinators from different colleges (JNRM, DBRAIT, ANCOL, ANIIMS) have visited NIT Jamshedpur from 24/4/2023 to 30/4/2023.In order to share the experiences with the rest of students and faculties which the YUVA has gained, an experience sharing session was organized at DBRAIT auditorium on 6/5/2023 for the delegates.
At the onset, Dr Manu Vashishtha, Nodal Officer, briefed about the Yuva Sangam to the gathering and enlightened the audience about the objective and significance of the program under EBSB. In continuation Dr. Shrabani Mallick welcomed the gathering by praising GOI for its collaborative effort with an aim to strengthen people to connect and build empathy among youth across the nation. She emphasized the importance of traveling and 5 P’s of the Yuva Sangam Yojana. The program continued with experience sharing by the participating student and faculty members of Yuva Sangam team.
In the experience sharing, the students expressed gratitude to Prime Minister of India and Andaman Nicobar Administration for giving the opportunity to be a part of this program. The students expressed about their exposure at NIT Jamshedpur, Tata Steel, Tata Cummins, Uranium Corporation of India and Chandil Dam etc. It was a fruitful and interactive session where the participants elaborated about their informative and enriching experience throughout the trip. The participating faculty members of the team also shared their experiences about the distinct culture and uniqueness of the place and praised the idea of initiative for inculcating a common spirit of understanding among youths participating in the program, which shall resonate throughout the country and contribute immensely towards building a truly Shreshtha Bharat. They also highlighted how this tour was able to bind the students in unison despite their different field, background and cultural difference.
Later, the students met the Principal of DBRAIT, shared their experience and expressed their gratitude to DBRAIT for organizing this memorable trip.
