Port Blair, Apr 21: The All India Kerala Muslim Cultural Centre, Andaman Chapter organized a Grand Iftar Meet at TSG Emerald on 19th April, 2023. Mr. Kalivanan, IPS, Superintendent of Police (South Andaman) was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Programme was also attended by religious heads of Port Blair from Sikh, Hindu, Christian communities besides Muslim ulamas. Other noted Personalities of the Islands including political figures attended the programme including Leaders from BJP, Congress and others. Mr. Shihabudeen Yasir, General Secretary welcomed the gathering and briefly introduced the activities being taken up by AIKMCC across the globe. Religious heads unitedly put forth the uniqueness of Island unity and brotherhood and desired it to continue. Mr. Abdul Siddique, President also briefly addressed the gathering and stated that the aim of the programme is to bring together all diverse faces of the community to one platform and rejoice in the spirit of ramzan.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest, Mr. Kalaivanan congratulated AIKMCC Andaman for organising such a wonderful programme and placed on record the due appreciation and acknowledged the Islanders for their unity and brotherhood and setting an example for the rest of the country. He also wished everyone greetings of Eid in advance.
The programme was attended by representatives of various NGOs, Civil Society Organizations etc. Congress President Mr. Rangalal Haldar and Ex BJP President Mr. Vishal Jolly also attended and graced the function. Inaugural dua and magrib prayer was performed by Jb Yousuf Qasimi Vice president AIKMCC.
