Port Blair, Mar 26: The Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee on Friday evening organized Hath se Hath Jodo *Abhiyan* in R.K Pur Bazaar, Little Andaman to highlight the various issues of public concern. The Abhiyan was led by ANTCC President Mr. Rangalal Halder, ANTCC Campaign Committee Chairman Mr. TSG Bhasker and Chairman, Adivasi Congress Mr. Sebastian Tirkey.
The Congress leaders highlighted flagging issues such as unemployment, inflation, and rise in hate speeches, alleged capturing of institutions and toppling of elected governments. The Abhiyan received an overwhelming response from the residents of the Panchayat.
In a press note, Mr. Halder said that after Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, the whole country has united and has now understood Modi’s hawkish policies, rising inflation, unemployment and corruption which are making people suffer. The troubled people of the country are now once again looking towards the Congress all over the country.
Mr. Bhasker said that the BJP government at the centre has failed to provide enough employment opportunities to the youth of the youngest country in the world. He also accused the BJP government at the Centre and Lt Governor-led Union Territory administration of A&N Islands for ignoring the issues of people.
BCC President Mr. Gopal Saha, TCC Member Mrs. Deepa Baul, Up-Pradhan Mrs. Maloi Mondal, Congress leader Mr. Glok Biswas and several other leaders were present on the occasion.
