Port Blair, March 10: In a surprising turn of events, the Gram Panchayat Neil Kendra in South Andaman saw five of its members tender their resignation on 06 March. The members who resigned include Manoj Mallick, Ajay Mallick,Sankar Das, Swapna Sarkar and Srimati Das.
According to sources, the members submitted their resignation letters to the Secretary Panchayat on 06 March 2023 but the letter has not been accepted yet by competent Authority. As per details all members have cited personal reasons behind this resignation.
The resignation of five members has left the Gram Panchayat Neil Kendra in a state of flux. The sudden resignation of its members has raised questions about the functioning of the Panchayat and its ability to carry out its duties.
