The Directorate of Disaster Management to create awareness to the general public issued from time to time Do’s & Don’ts of various disasters to save themselves during any eventuality.
To mitigate the tsunami threat and strengthen preparedness level of the community, prepare emergency kits (copies of documents, torch, radio, medicines, dry foods, water, etc.), identify danger zone, safe evacuation routes, safe shelter, listen to radio, TV & other media for alert, warnings & advice, if you are in coastal/tsunami vulnerable area, move higher ground in case of tsunami alert/warning issued and return after only when Govt. officials inform you it is safe.
