Port Blair, Feb 10: Residents of Prem Nagar are calling for immediate repair of the road leading from Ayush Hospital to Kali Mandir. The road is in poor condition, with numerous potholes and inadequate lighting, creating a dangerous environment for those who use the road.
This was highlighted recently when a senior citizen was injured on the road, near Laltu Garage, Prem Nagar. He lost his balance and fell due to potholes, sustaining injuries to his face, forehead, and arms. The victim was taken to the hospital for first aid and was later released.
The residents of the area have expressed concern over the safety of the general public who use the road after evening hours and have called on the concerned authorities to take immediate action to repair the road and increase the number of street lights.
