Port Blair, Jan 29:The District Administration, N&M Andaman celebrated 74th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor on Jan.26. Dr. Satyendra Singh Dursawat, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, North & Middle Andaman unfurled the National Flag at Netaji Sports Complex, Mayabunder.
The chief guest in his address outlined the achievements of various Departments of Administrations and appreciated their efforts for bringing changes in the lives of the people and urged them to cooperate with each other in the pursuit of the public interest. 21 persons from various Departments/fields were felicitated with Commendation Certificate by the Deputy Commissioner, North & Middle Andaman, District.
Later, the chief guest visited Dr. R.P.Hospital and District Correctional Home, Mayabunder and interacted with the patients, doctors and inmates. Similar functions were also held at Rangat&Diglipur Subdivisions.
