
Port Blair, Dec 27: A delegation of ANTA met the Chief Secretary of Andaman and Nicobar Administration today and apprised him of the issues pertaining to the teachers of the Education Department.
As per a communication the Chief Secretary gave a patient hearing to all the issues and commented “all issues are fairly reasonable” and thus has assured of taking appropriate action.
The Chief Secretary reportedly urged the teachers to work harder with dedication to improve the quality of education in these Islands.
The issue of the pathetic condition of some remote areas was also discussed, in which the Chief Secretary reportedly said that the department is taking various measures to resolve the crisis.
The Chief Secretary also reportedly expressed his desire to bring in a situation of harmonious working conditions in all schools of these Islands. The delegation assured him of all cooperation in this regard.
