Port Blair, Dec 27: Yesterday four people were detained by a police team of PS Pahargaon after residents of some areas alleged that they were stealing gold in the pretext of shining gold ornaments.
As per reports all four suspects were released last night from PS Pahargaon and they are asked not to leave Port Blair and they were also asked to bring their Aadhaar Cards today to PS Pahargaon. But today when they were not responding to the calls from PS Pahargaon, the police team got some doubts. Soon they got a message from the Airport that three people out of the four suspects were planning to leave Andaman by flight. They had booked SpiceJet flight from Port Blair to Kolkata. Soon they were nabbed and all of them were brought to PS Pahargaon for interrogation again.
As per details the team of PS Pahargaon is trying to find out what is the modus operandi of the team and how many Islanders they have duped till date. As per details these four people had reached Port Blair two months back from Bihar and are presently staying at Garacharma.
