Port Blair, Dec 16: A dead body of a new born girl child was found in water near the earthen bundh of JodaKilan area yesterday night at around 9.30 PM. As per sources the body was not even one day old and it is suspected that the baby was dumped soon after her birth.
The exact cause of the death is still not known. On information a team of police reached the spot and shifted the body of the baby to G B Pant Hospital for Post Mortem. As per details while fishing some local people found the body inside a plastic bag.Presently police teams are conducting investigation to trace out the parents of the girl child.
