16th December is celebrated every year as ‘Vijay Diwas’ to
commemorate and celebrate the Indian Armed Forces’ victory in the 1971 war. This day gives us an opportunity to express our respect and gratitude towards our armed forces and pay homage to our martyrs.
On the special occasion of Vijay Diwas, I urge all the residents
of A&N Islands to join the whole nation, to remember and salute the selfless service, heroic valour and exemplary sacrifices of the gallant men of our Armed Forces.
