Port Blair, Dec 13: A Special Crack Police team of Bambooflat PoliceStation busted a network of drugs peddling by registering cases andarresting four persons under the NDPS act.On 08 Dec 2022, credible information was received to the Special CrackPolice team of PS Bambooflat that two persons are carrying Ganja, which they are goingto sell at Chouldary area.
Following the tip off a raid was carried out by the team ofSpecial Crack team PS Bambooflat consisting of Sub Inspector TejeshwarRao, HCs Ashok Roy, PC Vishal, PC Feroz, PC Manikandan, LPC Molina &Investigating Officer Abdul Salam under the guidance of SDPOBambooflat near Chouldary area.
During the raid the Police team recovered around 25grams of Ganja from the procession of Rakesh Mondal resident of Tsunami ShelterChouldary and Mohammed Meraj, a resident of Tushnabad on which both thepeople were arrested.
Later developing the information further, on 09 Dec 2022, a specialsquad of PS Bambooflat along with the team of PS Chatham conducted ajoint raid at a house of Mr. Akash, a resident of Haddo and recovered 50 grams ofillicit Ganja. Another joint raid was conducted at the residence of Mr. Poowathi Raja of Sunder colony from where around 150 Grams of illicit Ganja was recovered and the accused persons were arrested in theaforementioned cases,
All these operations took place under the close supervision of SDPO(Bambooflat) Mr. Arshdeep Singh Panwar and under the overallsupervision of Mr. Rajiv Ranjan, IPS, Superintendent of Police, and SouthAndaman District.
