Port Blair, Dec 09: A dead body of a minor girl was found in the Brookshabad area this morning. When the matter was reported to the Police, a Police team reached the spot and recovered the body of the seven year old missing girl.
According to sources, the minor girl was missing from her house since yesterday and a missing complaint in this regard was also registered in Pahargaon Police Station early this morning, it was learnt.
According to details, the family members of the missing girl were searching every nook and cornerof Brookshabad area, but they couldn’t trace her till yesterday.
This morning, after a police team also joined the search, villagers noticed a dead body of a minor girl near a drain at Canchi Nallah near her house. When they closely examined the corpse, they found that the body wasof the missing girl.
Later, the body was shifted to the Mortuary of GB Pant Hospital and police department is carrying out further investigation.
