Port Blair, Nov 15: On the occasion of 69th All India Cooperative Week 2022 started in the A & N Islands a Seminar on Cooperative Marketing Consumers, Processing and Value Addition was organized by A & N State Cooperative Union with the support of Cooperative department and the Cooperative Institutions of A & N Islands today (15/11/2022)Mr. Ashim Bhattacharya,at Community Hall Chouldhari South Andaman at 10.00 AM. Mrs. TapashiSaha, Pradhan Chouldhari Gram Panchayat graced the occasion as Chief Guest and inaugurated the Seminar by lighting the traditional lamp. In her brief address, the chief guest highlighted the importance and need for strengthening and promoting more cooperatives in rural areas. Cooperatives are the way of life which provides more employment for rural youth. She appealed to all to come forward and to become a part of a cooperative for self reliance. The Chief Guest also offered all possible assistance and support for the rural youth for strengthening the cooperatives in the area.
Among others who spoke on the occasion include S/Mr. S. K. Choubey, AVS, AHVS; G. Mohan, AGM, NABARD; G. Srinivasan, GM, ANCOFED; and P. Aboobacker, Social Worker.
Dr. S. K. Choubey highlighted the benefit of schemes A H & VS for the Department of Cooperatives. Asst. General Manager, NABARD put a light on schemes available for Marketing Cooperatives and SHG for marketing. Mr. Suresh Babu, Principal RGCTC spoke on today’s topics on Cooperative Marketing, Consumers, Processing and Value Addition. Earlier Mr.Shyamnath, FM welcomed the Guest & participants and Mr. Naresh Ram, NCUI proposed vote of thanks.
