Port Blair, Nov 03: Impressed by the ideology of Congress party and works of Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee President Mr. Rangalal Halder, a Retired Navy man Mr. Pathras Tutu, R/o Chouldhari joined the Indian National Congress on Thursday in the presence of City Congress President Mr. Mohd Zubair, DCC General Secretary Mr. Abdul Shabir and Congress Leader Mr. Isha Dilshad at Gandhi Bhavan, Port Blair.
Mr. Pathras served in the Indian Navy for 15 years as a Navy staff before retiring in 2020. Mr. Pathras, who joined Congress Party claimed that he was upset by the way PM Modi and other BJP leaders were seeking votes in the names of the armed forces.
Inducting him into the party, Mr. Halder said, “It is indeed a pleasure to welcome such retired staff of the navy forces into the Congress party
