Port Blair, Oct 30: On 29 Oct 2022, at about 1130 hrs, an incident of burglary was reported at the house of Mr. S Arun R/o- Sippighat. The incident was conveyed to Police Station Humfrigunj and taking swift action the police team consisting with SI Anik Das SHO PS Humfrigunj, HC/Nelson, HC/Aroti Das, PC/Aurangzeb Ahmed, PC/Sabraj Mohd, PC/Akbar Ali and PC(D))/Periyaswamy reached spot and gathered physical and technical evidences. Based on such evidences, arrested a person namely T Papa Rao (36) yrs R/o- Ferrargunj and recovered gold and silver ornaments, cash and offensive tools from his possession. Most of the stolen articles are recovered by police and they are looking after his possible involvement in other theft cases. The above daylight burglary was solved due to hard work and professionalism shown by the staff of police station Humfrigunj and the local villagers applauded their efforts.
