Port Blair, Sep 21: An awareness and outreach activity highlighting the Initiative of the Govt. of India for the Conservation of Cheetah and its re-introduction in India was organized on 21st September 2022 at Biological Park, Chidiyatapu. The programme was attended by the Forester Trainees & Executive staff of South Andaman Forest Division.
A total of 25 Executive staff participated in the Program. The Deputy Director. Biological Park welcomed the trainees and Through a PowerPoint presentation habit, habitat. breeding and conservation approach of Cheetah in India was highlighted. Also, a group Discussion on the re-introduction of Cheetah was discussed. A documentary show on Cheetah was also screened.
Later, the Forester trainees were taken inside Biological Park, Chidiyatapu to highlight the ongoing conservation measures in the park.
