Port Blair, Nov 05: The PCC President, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, requested the Lt. Governor to allocate hospitals at Vizag for the Telegu Community.
In a letter addressed to the Lt Governor, Mr. Sharma, requested to consider earmarking a few specialized hospitals at Vizag where patients of the Telegu Community may be referred by GB Pant Hospital for specialized treatment so that they will feel much comfort of being to their own place.
In another letter addressed to the Administrator, Mr. Sharma stated the pathetic condition of the youth of Campbell Bay. After Tsunami of 2004 the lands of the farmers have submerged, animals, houses, shops, machineries etc have been washed away and the youths of the islands are feeling hapless for having no work in their hands.
Further, Mr. Sharma added that the island is the treasure of natural beauty having virgin beaches, two famous National parks, and creeks etc which foreign tourists will like if thrown open.
Mr. Sharma urged the Lt. Governor to bring the island in the world tourism map so that youths of Campbell Bay could earn their livelihood from tourism.
