
Port Blair, Aug 16: Navodhaya Foundation, A&N Islands has organized an Inter School competition in collaboration with Education 2.0 and PBMC on 13th August 2022 at KaithanKalyaanaMandapam, Junglighat. The competitions were conducted in five categories of Quiz, Skit Play, Dumb Charades, Fancy Dress and Group Dance. An open category was also included in the competition seeing the enthusiasm of the students.
Mr. Kishore KshirsagarLakshman, (IAS), Secretary, APWD was invited as the Chief Guest on the occasion, while Mrs. U. KavithaUdhaya, Chairperson, PBMC graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour and Mr. Azizur Ur Rahman, Senior Vice Chairperson, PBMC presided over as the Special Guest on the occasion.
A total of five Schools participated in the competition i.e, Kalsa Public School, St. Mary School, Nirmala Sr. Sec. School, Ummat Public School and Sagritara School made their participation. Kalsa Public School, Nirmala Sr. Sec. School and St. Mary’s School participated in all the 05 categories, whereas Ummat Public School and Sagritara School participated in 03 categories.
The judging panel consisted of three judges- Mr. Sanjib Kumar Roy Chief Editor, Andaman Sheekha, Mr. KarthikSolai, Revenue Officer, PBMC and Mrs. Almas Javed, Petrol pump dealer IOCL (Bhatubasti), Transporter of Petroleum product IOCL. The host on the occasion was Ms. Samhita Veda Acharya, who kept the audience hooked from beginning to end with her powerful voice and impressive personality.
The winner of the competition was Kalsa Public School and St. Mary’s School stood as the runners-up whereas the rest of the schools were awarded bronze medals and certificates for their participation. It is commendable that despite the short notice, all the schools enthusiastically participated in the competition.
Navodhaya Foundation thanked all the principals and teachers for motivating their students for the competition.
