Port Blair, Jul 15: Mr. P. Abdul Basheer, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Kanyapuram inaugurated a new Anganwadi Centre on 15th July 2022 at Model village. The new Anganwadi centre will pave way for many preschool kids into the world of learning. Anganwadi centres across the nation have been functioning as a platform to familiarise the school environment with children below 05 years.
The government of India launches many schemes related to children and the Anganwadi centres are responsible for the timely dispensation of such schemes to the beneficiaries. The new Anganwadi centre at Model village will cater as a preschool for children below 05 years and also works as a platform for empowering women and helping deliver the government-run schemes and benefits for the needy women of the village.
The inauguration was attended by Mrs. Anjali Bachar, Mukya Sevika and Mrs. Saira Banu, Up-Pradhan, Gram Panchayat, Kanyapuram. Several preschool kids and their mothers attended the inaugural function.
