Port Blair, July 04: On 01.07.2022 WITH YOU (NGO) concluded its month long summer camp which had classes for drawing, painting and chess. Seeing the need to provide these extracurricular activities for children here in rural areas, the NGO decided to do it without any fees so that nobody is at a disadvantage for not being born in an urban area.
This was proven when several children from the chess class participated in the U-15 chess tournament held at JNRM College and 2 even secured positions in the top 25 spots.
To commemorate the end of the camp a ceremony was held with ZillaParishadAdhyaksha as its chief guest who praised the NGO for its initiative and the children for their creativity, as their drawings and paintings were on a splendid exhibit. During the program, certificates were also awarded to the 50 participants who benefitted from this camp.
Miss V. K. MariyamBibi President NGO welcomed the chief guest and other guests also expressed her gratitude to Mr. Raja Rao, Fine Art teacher (MFA) and Mr.Tammiah NA, basic trainer of chess &Mr.Purusotham NA (National Arbitor) for conducting the classes. Mrs.DhanaRekha, ZillaParishad member, Shorepoint also graced the occasion. Mrs.Bimla, joint secretary WITH YOU anchored the program and Mrs.Seema, executive member NGO proposed the vote of thanks.
