Port Blair, Jun 23: Continuing its zero-tolerance policy towards encroachment on government land, the revenue department of South Andaman District carried out an eviction drive committed over Government land at Port Blair Tehsil.
On 23rd June 2022, an encroachment eviction drive was carried out and an area measuring 2500 Sq. mtrs. approximately out of Sy. No. 1/P in the shape of fencing, Plantation and four temporary houses situated at Garacharma village has been removed and the land is restored to Government.
It is further submitted that the encroachment eviction drive will continue in the coming weeks within Port Blair Tehsil.
