Port Blair, Apr 17: The 22nd Nirankari Baba Gurbachan Singh Memorial Cricket Tournament successfully concluded on 16th April 2022 at the Sant Nirankari Spiritual Complex, Samalkha, Haryana.
This tournament started on 19th March 2022 in which 115 teams were registered from various states of the country. 48 teams were selected and were enriched with experiences and important learning through the medium of sports.
All the players in the tournament were awarded participation certificates. A Satsangprogramme was organized every evening with the aim to provide the players with spiritual awakening and mental peace along with their physical fitness. Teams from four states were selected in the semifinal of this tournament: Mumbai – 1, Amritsar, Rohtak and Mohali.
In the final match of the tournament between Mumbai -1 and Amritsar; Mumbai – 1 has won the trophy and Arun Yadav from Mumbai -1 team was honored with the man of the series title. This tournament concluded with a prize distribution ceremony which was webcast live through the Zoom app for all the teams who were registered (a total of 115 teams), their managers and the captains were also included in the ceremony by this zoom link.
A few of the executive members of Sant Nirankari Mandal were present for the prize distribution ceremony in which Mr. JoginderSukhija, Secretary, Sant Nirankari Mandal; Mr. Vinod Vohra (Member Incharge, Foreign Affairs, Sewadal and Branches of Delhi NCR); Mr. Joginder Manchanda (Member Incharge, Finance Department); Mr. Narender Singh (Vice Chairman of Central Planning and Advisory Board) and Mr. O.P. Nirankari (Mukhya Sanchalak, Sewadal) gave trophy to the winning team and certificates to all.
