Port Blair, Apr 12: As per the communication received from the Haj Committee of India, Mumbai, all Haj applicants above the age of 65 years (as of 30th April 2022) will stand INELIGIBLE for Haj 2022. This would also result in the cancellation of Haj applications of those lady pilgrims(s), who’s accompanying Mehram will be above the age of 65 years on 30th April 2022.
This would also affect the “Companion” of 70+ years of age.
In view of this, the Haj Committee of India is again inviting fresh Haj Applications which can be submitted online by the intending pilgrim’sw.e.f. 9th April 2022 till 22nd April 2022 on the following condition.
a. Possess machine-readable valid Indian International Passport issued on or before 22nd April 2022 and valid up to 31st December 2022.
b. The applicant is not exceeding the prescribed age limit of 65 years (as of 30.04.2022 or earlier) and who has received the main Covid-19 vaccinations approved by the Saudi Ministry of Health, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
c. The pilgrims will also be required to submit a negative COVID-19 PCR test result from a test performed within 72 hours of the time of departure to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
d. Those lady applicants whose Haj application got rejected due to overage of their existing MEHRAM, can now apply afresh with a new Mehram Companion who is under the age limit of 65 years.
e. Applicants should be ready to comply with all precautionary measures to preserve their health and safety while performing Haj rituals.
f. The Haj applicants who have previously applied are also allowed to withdraw their applications for Haj 2022 in case they are not willing to go due to the new Guidelines.
