Port Blair, Apr 12: Andaman and Nicobar Vidyut Shramik Sangh has requested the A&N Administration to address the delay in transferring credit to the GPF Account from the NPS account of 495 labours of the Electricity Department.
Mr. M. Hemant Rao, General Secretary, Andaman and Nicobar Vidyut Shramik Sangh said that the employees of the electricity department are facing immense difficulties to draw GPF Advance/Withdrawal in any emergency cases. Due to the non-transfer of the NPS amount into GPF credit, there is a delay in the settlement of pension benefits.
He highlighted the financial difficulties faced by the families of deceased employees/retired employees and requested the A&N Administration to take urgent action and transfer the credit of NPS accounts to the GDF account at the earliest.
