Port Blair, Apr 12: Secretary, PBMC along with Superintending Engineer, PBMC and officials visited Ward No. 09 and 14 on 12th April 2022. During the visit, demand for the construction of Toilets with washrooms at PBMC’s Junglighat Shopping Complex was raised by Ward Councillor of Ward No. 09.
Further, the Ward Councillor requested to provide an adequate size of Culvert at Fisherman Road near Ram Mandir Jn. leading to Tirupati Temple. Secretary, PBMC has given instant direction to construct the culvert and also asked to provide the Toilets with Washrooms at the Ground Floor Office, Junglighat Shopping Complex.
During the visit, it was also instructed to remove the unauthorized construction such as the construction of a platform on a drain on the left side of the road and illegal construction of structures on the right side found on the same road falling in Ward No. 14.
The Ward Councillor, Ward No. 14 requested for construction of a Toilet near Tirupati Temple, Secretary, PBMC has instructed the officials concerned to do the maintenance of existing roads and also stressed sanitation wing to undertake an extensive drive for cleaning up of Backwater seashore area leading from Junglighat Mutton and Chicken Market to Tirupati Temple.
