Port Blair, Apr 03: State Control Room, Directorate of Disaster Management, A&N Administration issued a Thunderstorm warning over the Nicobar Islands received from IMD Kolkata.
It is informed that on 04th April 2022 thunderstorm with lightning is likely to occur at one or two places over A&N Islands.
05th and 06th April 2022, heavy rain (7-11 cm) is likely to occur with thunderstorms with lightning at one or two places over A&N Islands.
In anticipation of squally weather, wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph gusting to 60 kmph over South Bay of Bengal and adjoining South Andaman Sea, fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea during the period of 05th to 07th April 2022. No Port Warning was issued.
