Port Blair, Nov 22: The selection trial for admission in the Special Area Games Scheme of Sports Authority of India for the year 2013-2014 in the discipline of Rowing, Kayaking & Canoeing, Cycling and Football will be conducted from 23rd to 25th November, 2012 at Netaji Stadium, Port Blair from 3 pm to 6 pm. The Sportspersons at the age group from 13 yrs to 16 yrs. will undergo anthropometic test, motor ability test as per SAI norms.
The specific skill test followed by Medical test will also be taken before they will be selected for long term training. Selected Sportspersons will be admitted in the SAG Scheme of SAI where he will be provided free Boarding and lodging @ Rs.51,000/- per anum, Free Education, Medical and Insurance @ Rs.2100/- Sports Kits @ Rs.4000/- and Competitions exposure as and when required basis @ Rs.3000/- per annum.
