Port Blair, Mar 27: A man namely Mr. Kedar Munda, a private labourer by profession, died after falling off from a roof of a house in the Brookshabad area on Saturday afternoon.
The incident took place when a group of three labourers were working in a house at Brookshabad. As per detail when they were changing the cement roofing sheets one labourer went up to remove the cement roofing but the roofing sheets were weak and it couldn’t hold the weight because of which the labourer fell and suffered major head injuries.
The injured labourer was immediately rushed to CHC Garacharma where doctor declared him brought dead, it is learnt.
Police team of PS Pahargaon has registered a case under relevant sections of IPC in this regard. Further details are awaited.
