Port Blair, Mar 24: Mrs. M Pappi Naidu, the Pradhan of Hut Bay Gram Panchayat, Little Andaman has expressed gratitude towards the NDRF team which was deployed in Little Andaman in view of the threat from Cyclonic Storm ASANI.
She also expressed gratitude towards the Administration for opening relief camps to accommodate the public in case of emergency and also for sending sufficient stock of emergency supplies to Little Andaman.
She added that several trees were uprooted because of high wind and NDRF personnel removed them from roads for ease of public transport. “I appreciate the NDRF team and the administration for their immediate response and support to avert this calamity,” she added.
