Port Blair, Mar 23: Andaman Nicobar Chess Association (ANCA) will conduct a State School Chess Championship 2022 for various categories viz Under 09, Under 11, Under 13, Under 15 & Under 17 Boys & Girls on 3rd April 2022 at JNRM Auditorium Port Blair.
This championship will serve as the selection event for the National School Chess Championship 2022 scheduled to be held from 6th May to 20th May 2022 under the aegis of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports at Indoor Stadium KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
Only school students are eligible to participate in this championship. Eligibility – For Under 09: the player should be born on or after 1st January 2013, for Under 11: the player should be born on or after 1st January 2011, for Under 13: the player should be born on or after 1st January 2009, for Under 15: the player should be born on or after 1st January 2007 and for Under 17: the player should be born on or after 1st January 2005.
There will be a 50% concession in the entry fee for participants of N&M Andaman & Nicobar Districts.
Interested Schools / Students / Players may register their names along with the Entry fee @ Rs. 250/- at the office of the Andaman Nicobar Chess Association, Junglighat, opposite to mi showroom between 4.00 pm to 6.30 pm on or before 1st April 2022.
