Port Blair, Feb 01: The Member of Parliament of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary of Andaman and Nicobar Administration to direct the concerned departments to ensure the availability of cargo vessels, authorized to carry dangerous cargo, for LPG Distributors and fuel distributors so that petrol and LPG Cylinders reach to all the Islands as per schedule.
In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary he mentioned that there is a huge delay in transpiration of fuel as well as LPG cylinders in Shaheed Dweep, Swaraj Dweep, Little Andaman and Car Nicobar Islands.
He said that due to the unavailability of cargo vessels, that are authorized for carrying dangerous cargo, recently the people of Little Andaman Islands and Car Nicobar Islands had faced a shortage of petrol while Shaheed Dweep, Swaraj Dweep, Little Andaman and Car Nicobar Islands are frequently facing a shortage of LPG Cylinders.
