Port Bair, Jan 23: Keeping in view the present scenario of pandemic situation prevailing in the Islands, the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman, Shri Suneel Anchipaka along with the Additional District Magistrate visited Balika Niketan (CCI), Attam Pahad on 22nd January 2022 and inspected the arrangements made to contain the spread of COVID infection in the Child Care Institutions. The officers also interacted with the children and enquired about their health and status of vaccination.
During the visit, District Administration, South Andaman in a collaborative venture with the Civil Society (Port Blair Guru Ki Rasoi) distributed hand sanitizers to all the children and staff of Child Care Institutions of South Andaman.
The Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman during his interaction, instructed all the children as well as staff of Child Care Institutions to strictly follow the COVID Protocol to protect them from infection.
Apart from the Child care Institutions, hand Sanitizers were also provided to the staff performing surveillance duty in the field.
