Port Blair, Jan 10: To contain the spread of COVID-19, the South Andaman District, there will be further restrictions from tomorrow onwards. As per the order issued by the District Magistrate, South Andaman today:
Social/Political/Sports/Entertainment/Academic/Cultural/Religious/Festivals related and other gathering and congregations shall be prohibited.
All religious places/places of worship shall be closed for public worship. Further religious congregations/gatherings are strictly prohibited. Any person/organisation violating the above directions shall be liable to be fined to the tune of Rs. 20,000/ (Rupees Twenty Thousand only), which shall be payable by the management.
All Tourists spots in South Andaman District shall remain closed for Tourism activities with immediate effect.
All Parks/ Playgrounds/ Stadiums/Gyms and yoga institutes shall remain closed with immediate effect.
