Port Blair, Jan 05: Upset with shortage of teachers in GSSS Neil Kendra, Shaheed Dweep many school students along with their parents today staged a dharna in front of GSSS Neil Kendra.
As per the source, the students partially blocked the road for some time and demanded Post Graduate Teachers. They alleged that studies of the students of this school have been suffering for months together owing to a shortage of teachers.
The dharna began at around 09:30 AM. Later top officers of Education Department reportedly, contacted the School Management Committee over the phone and assured necessary action, after which the Dharna was called off at around 11.30 AM.
