Port Blair, Nov 16: The Coast Guard Wives Welfare Association (CGWWA) under the guidance of Mrs. Jyoti Murthy, President Tatrakshika, Andaman & Nicobar organized a unique Talent Show for the children of Coast Guard fraternity on the occasion of Children’s Day i.e. 14 Nov 12, at Coast Guard Indoor Sports Complex, Port Blair. The event was aimed to provide a platform for children to showcase their hidden talents on dance, dramatics, singing and playing various musical instruments.
Inspector General VSR Murthy, PTM, TM, Commander Coast Guard Region (A&N) was the Chief Guest for the occasion. The event was attended by Commanding Officers / Officers-in Charge of CG Ships & Establishment at Port Blair alongwith family members of all CG officers and men. The show witnessed spell-bound performances by enthusiastic children who wholeheartedly participated to showcase their adeptness and talent towards vocal and instrumental music, folk, classical and western dances. The Chief Guest appreciated the enthusiasm and spirit of the children who participated in the event and encouraged them to develop interest in sports activities and hobbies apart from academic studies. He later presented prizes & mementos to all the participants and also felicitated the children who excelled in academics during the previous academic session.
