Port Blair, Dec 13: A team of M/s Vikalp firm today felicitated three brave Jet Ski operators and two others for saving precious lives of six fishermen who were in distress after their fishing boat capsized in rough cyclonic weather near Snake Island, Corbyn’s Cove Beach at around 4:30 PM on 01.12.2021.
It is learnt that Mr. Sanjay Balan a retired local officer and managing partner of the firm M/s Vikalp and his team members facilitated the brave Jet Ski operators Mr. Sanjay Das, 27 years, Mr. Naresh, 25 years, and Mr. Dilip Kumar Ram, 26 years. All the three daring youths are Jet Ski Operators working at Corbyn’s Cove, who didn’t think twice before jumping into the rough sea, amidst inclement cyclonic weather conditions to rescue six souls.
Other than above three brave youths, two two other youths Mr. Sandeep Kumar Lakra and Mr. Ranvijay Herbert were also felicitated by the team. All five brave youths were also given monetary tokens of appreciation.
Later Mr. Sanjay Balan pointed out that his idea is to promote good deeds by recognizing them. “Society must honor people who are involved in exemplary works. That’s how a better society evolves. Mine is just a small step towards that direction”, he added.
He further pointed out that he believes that more than waiting for recognition from the administration or government, it is the society that should come forward in appreciating such bravery and good deeds.
