Port Blair, Dec 13: Mr Vishal Jolly, National Executive Committee member BJP, Member of Home Ministry Advisory Committee, Govt. of India & Former State President BJP A&N has requested the administration to change the convoy timing from Jirkatang to Middle Strait and increasing the number of vehicles fixed in each convoy through in his letter addressed to Chief Secretary, Andaman & Nicobar Administration.
He mentioned that the timing of second convoy at 11 am from Jirkatang to the Middle Strait is not suitable for visiting tourists and islanders. As the tourists and islanders cannot be returned back on the same day if they are taking the 11 am convoy from Jirkatang and also requested to increase the number of vehicles from 90 to 150 in each convoy for hassle free movement of tourists and islanders. Considering the difficulties faced by the islanders and visiting tourist, the timing of second convoy may be changed to 09.00 AM instead of 11.00 AM from Jirkatang to Middle Strait and increase the number of vehicles in each convoy as mentioned above which will immensely benefit the visiting tourists as well as islanders he added in his letter.
