Port Blair, Nov 15: The Moulana Abul Kalam Azad Memorial (MAKAM) Youth Club in association Nehru Yuva Kendra, Port Blair organized a vigilance awareness programme on the eve of Vigilance awareness week 2012 at Stewart Gunj Panchayat Hall.
Around 80 youths participated in the programme. Sh P Azeez, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat, Stewart Gunj was the Chief Guest. Speaking on the occation Sh Kundan District Co-ordinator, NYK Port Blair, highlighted about this year’s theme of observing vigilance awareness week i.e “Transparency in public procurement”.
The occasion was also graced with the presence of Sh Hassainar, Head Master of Kanyapuram High School, he said apart from creating awareness, people should learn more about e-procurement, e-payment etc, by leveraging technology and make measurable progress in the days ahead in this regard. Speaking on the occasion Sh Hussain teacher of MES School appreciated the efforts made by MAKAM youth Club for organizing programmes regarding awareness against corruption among the youth by involving youths of local village. Sh Zainul Secretary MAKAM Youth Club given vote of thanks for all speakers and participants for making this programme a grand success.
