Port Blair, Dec 02: Mr. M Vinod, State Vice President & Prabhari – Media Cell BJP-A & N Islands has requested to award LG Commendation to the three Jet Ski operators, who have saved six fishermen from drowning in the sea on 01 December 2021.
In his letter addressed to the Lieutenant Governor of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Mr. Vinod informed that on 1st of December 2021 at around 04:30 PM, six fishermen were severely caught in the stormy weather at sea near Snake Island.
Considering the stormy weather and high tides, the rescue operation was looking very difficult until three of the Jet Ski Operator from Corbyn’s Cove Beach namely Mr. Naresh, Mr. Dilip, and Mr. Sanjay Das showed exemplary bravery and reached out to drowning fishermen and save their lives. This act of bravery has brought laurels for those Jet Ski Operators across our Islands, he added.
He urged to award those Jet Ski Operators with LG Commendation for their bravery and fearless approach which will boost the morale of the general public to help the needy.
