Port Blair, Nov 14:A village namely “Bada Balu” about 4 km from Chidiyatapu village having 26 households has been electrified on the auspicious occasion of Dweepavali by extending 11 KV lines and installing 25 KVA Transformer.
This village was electrified in 1996-97 by putting a solar photovoltaic plant which got damaged in the Tsunami of 2004. Since then the village was without electricity, which has now been provided round the clock electricity supply by connecting it to the South Andaman Grid.
