
Port Blair, Oct 25: On the occasion of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Pankh NGO, with the support of District Administration South Andaman and in collaboration with Rotary club of Port Blair NextGen organized a Cyclothon event of 12 kms starting from Cellular Jail to Carbyns Cove and back same route. The event was categorised into Pro and Armature, wherein around 50 participants had participated. The event was hounoured by Mr. Suneel Achipaka, District Commissioner, South Andaman and Mr. Hari Kallikat, SDM, South Andaman.
International cyclists of our Islands Ms. Debora Harold and Nikita were also as guests for the event. Swami Mr.. Shudhanand also attended the event. The whole event was successfully managed by the members of Pankh NGO and Rotary Club Next Gen Port Blair in the presence of Pankh president Mrs. Komal Anand & Secretary Mrs. Geeta Naveen Bhatt and Rotary club next gen President Paranthaman Divya Prassad & Secretary Jyoshita Anand.
The flag off was done by Mr. Hari Kallikat, SDM, South Andaman. The District commissioner, Mr. Suneel Achipaka mentioned the “importance of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav and appreciated the event”. The prize distribution ceremony was honoured by Mr. Suneel Anchipaka Deputy Commissioner, SA and Mr. Hari Kallikat, SDM, SA.
