Port Blair, Nov 07: Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, President of Pradesh Congress Committee has requested the Lt Governor of Andaman & Nicobar Islands to release financial help for two people, who fell from the stretcher patients’ ramp of G B Pant hospital, when a rusted Iron Grill collapsed.
“The attending surgeon has examined both the patients and admitted them in the surgical ward and they have been referred to mainland hospital for further specialized treatment,” said Mr. Sharma, who visited both the patients yesterday.
Since Mr Kalam and Shabbir belong to poor family and are unable to bear heavy medical expenditure to be incurred at mainland based hospital, Mr. Sharma has urged the Lt. Governor to release financial help for treatment of both the victims from LG’s relief fund.v
