AATO requests increasing passenger carrying capacity of IV boats in Swarajdweep & restarting of Kayaking operations

Port Blair, Sept 14: A delegation of AATO comprising General Secretary Mr.K.Hamza & Jt.Secretary Mr.Saikat Biswas met Director tourism, Mr.Alok Kumar Jha and discussed various issues regarding tourism sector.
On directions of AATO President Mr.M.Vinod, the delegation urged Dept. of tourism to restart Kayaking operations for tourists. Mr.Saikat Biswas requested Director tourism to consider increasing the passenger carrying capacity of IV boats to 90% capacity for commercially viable operations. Director Tourism has considered the demands and assured suitable directions soon.
