Port Blair, July 27: A truck from Naval Transport Pool Minnie Bay today met with an accident and went off the road after hitting a road side pole at Minnie Bay Junction.
The accident was reported to police at around 7.20 AM this morning.
As per details, the truck was going towards school line from Naval Transport Pool Minnie Bay but on its way due to brake failure the driver lost control over the truck and the truck fell in road side drain after hitting a road side pole. The massive sign pole collapsed immediately due to impact.
As per details only driver was present inside the truck, who suffered minor injuries. Luckily no person or vehicle was present on the way of the truck.
Later the matter was intimated to Naval Transport Pool officers, after which the Towing Truck of Naval Transport Pool cleared the truck from the drain.
