Rangat, June 08: A minor mistake may cost huge to a Retired Assistant Engineer, Electricity, as he has allegedly violated the Transit Pass norms issued by the Forest Department for dumping the sea sand.
As per reports, the retired AE, Mr. C Roy had permission from the Forest Department to dump the sea sand from the seashore to the Paransala area. Instead of the permit location, he dumped the sea sand in the VIP lane, Rangat, maybe under the impression that it won’t get noticed.
However, his thoughts were ruined when the Police Constable of SB CID, Satnam Singh noticed the 05 cubic meters of sea sand in the VIP Lane, Rangat.
Smelling a rat, Police Constable Satnam Singh immediately informed the matter to the Forest Beat Officer, Rangat, and on inquiry, it was learned that the owner violated the transit pass norms. An FIR under section IFA 1927 has been registered against the violator.
