Hutbay, Oct 25: Sahista Lall, a teacher working in Hutbay Island under Sarva Siksha Abhiyan died due to drowning at Kalapathar area of Hutbay Island on Tuesday last. According to reports, Sahista and her husband Animesh Lall and one of their friends had gone for a picnic at Kalapathar Beach. Both Sahista and her husband were standing on a rock and were suddenly washed away by a mighty wave. According to reports Animesh was anyhow rescued by his friend but they failed to save Sahista. Later police recovered her body, which was sent to Port Blair on the same day evening.The post-mortem was carried out in the G.B.Pant hospital.
