Port Blair, Apr 21: On 19 April 2021 in the evening hours, at around 7:30 PM, while patrolling a police team of Ograbraj Outpost spotted a suspicious wooden dinghy near Harpartabad Creek.
During questioning the boat operator Mr. Charan Mani said that he is coming back from his fields but after search police team found huge quantity of venison from the dinghy.
According to sources he was taken to Tirur Outpost, where it was confirmed that it was 15 KG of Venison. Mr. Charan Mani, 50 Years, was detained and the wooden dinghy, with fishing materials was seized by police. As per sources on 20 April 2021, next day he was handed-over to Forest Department for further investigation.
