Port Blair, Feb 15: A seminar cum outreach program was organised from DGTS, Kolkata Zone, regarding QRMP Scheme, IGST refund and modifications in registration procedure under GST. Many apex officials of CGST & C. Ex. Kolkata Zone, such as Mr. A. P. S. Suri (Pr. Chief Commissioner of CGST & C. Ex. Kolkata Zone), Mr. P. K. Aggarwal (Chief Commissioner of Customs, Kolkata Zone), Mr. Roopam Kapoor (Pr. Commissioner of CGST & C. Ex., Haldia Commissionerate), Mr. Suneel Tated (Pr. ADG, DGGI), Mr. Shailendra Kumar Sinha (ADG, DGTS) graced this occasion.
Speakers from Kolkata Zone, Mr. Debojit Kar (Supdt. DGTS), Mr. Debashish Chatterjee (Supdt. DGTS) explained the new provisions of QRMP Scheme and the procedures to enjoy benefit of the scheme.
Mr. Sunil Tathed (Pr. ADG, DGGI) addressed the Trade & Commerce regarding provisions of IGST refund. Secretary Finance Mr. Sanjeev Mittal also bestowed the event and raised various GST related issues faced by the trade & industry along with Mr. Surendra Prahladhkar, president ACCI & Mr. Mohammed Jadwet. The officers assured the trade to take optimum steps to address their grievances. The program concluded with an open interactive Q&A session with the field formation of Trade & Commerce. At the end the trade & industry unanimously appraised this program and requested to arrange such programs in near future.
