Port Blair, Feb 14: A Medical camp including Allopathic and Ayurvedic has been organized at one of the isolate and remote place under the jurisdiction of PHC, Billiground at Mini Anganwadi Guji Nallah on 13.02.2021. At the commencement of the camp, Shri Surendar Singh, Health Educator welcomes the villagers and thereafter Dr. Suryakant Singh, Medical Officer, Ayurveda delivered lecture on “AYU SAMVAD” with the theme “Ayurveda for COVID-19 Pandemic” in pursuance of 5th National Ayurveda Day- 2020. Dr. B. Ajit Kumar, Chief Medical Officer also highlighted the issues related to COVID-19 and the ill effect of tobacco.
In the medical camp all the villagers were examined wherein height, weight, BP, Random Blood Sugar checked and as per their requirement treatment & medicines were also distributed to them. Altogether 52 villagers including children were examined and treated. Also medicines which are frequently required like ORS, Paracetamol etc provided to Anganwadi workers for its distribution in emergency for the benefit of the villagers.
